Callout for Volunteers and Directors

Could you help Soteria London deliver compassionate and creative community activities?

As our community grows and develops, we are looking for volunteers to help us deliver supportive and inclusive activities. We are also looking for additional company directors to help us with decision-making and shaping our future direction.

We are looking for volunteers who can help run activities and provide emotional support to community members during activities. We are also interested to hear from anyone willing to provide technical support during activities which involve IT, music-making or performance. We usually hold two to six activities per month and the days and times vary. We are therefore looking for people who are happy to receive information about upcoming events and volunteer when they can.

For director roles, we are looking for people who want to help Soteria London grow and develop on a medium to long-term basis. We ask directors to attend one online meeting per month and to be available by email between meetings. Soteria London is a Community Interest Company (CIC) so being a director carries some formal responsibilities similar, in some respects, to those of a charity trustee. We welcome prospective directors who are keen to volunteer alongside their director role and people who want to volunteer with a view to applying to be a director in the future. We offer training to all prospective volunteers and directors covering the policies of Soteria London, its ethos and mission.
